Add a website chat button to your Wix website

Requirements:

  • You need a Wix account with an active website.
  • Only Wix administrators can install and manage the chat button.
  • A Kommo account is required (any plan or a 14-day trial).

Kommo’s website chat button lets you chat with visitors directly on your Wix website. Conversations are automatically saved in Kommo, making it easy to manage and follow up with customers.

What is Wix?

Wix is a cloud-based website builder that allows users to create professional-looking websites without coding. It features drag-and-drop functionality, customizable templates, and an app marketplace for added tools, like Kommo’s website chat button.

Adding a chat button to your Wix website allows visitors to contact you instantly, improving engagement and lead management. All conversations are automatically saved in Kommo for easy tracking.

How to install the chat button on Wix

  1. Log in to your Wix account. Open the Wix App Market and search for Kommo. Then, click Add to Site.

Note: Only Wix administrators can install the chat button.

  1. Select Agree & Add to authorize the app.

  1. Log in or sign up for your Kommo account when prompted.

  1. Choose a chat button:
  • If you don’t have a chat button, a new one will be created automatically.
  • If you already have a chat button, select one from the list or click Create new chat button.

  1. Open your Wix website and look for the chat button in the lower-right corner. Then, click the button and send a test message.

  1. Open Kommo and check if the message appears in your Inbox.

Customizing the chat button

To customize your chat button:

  1. Click Start customizing in Wix.
  2. You'll be redirected to Kommo, where you can adjust the button’s appearance and settings.

Managing your integration

Once installed, you can manage the chat button directly from your Wix dashboard:

  • Check unread chats – See the number of unread messages and open Kommo Inbox.

  • Enable or disable the chat button – Use the Turn Off Chat Button switch.

  • Remove the chat button – Logging out of Kommo will remove the chat button from your Wix website.
