How can you create a website chat button in Kommo?
It’s easy to create an online chat button for your website in Kommo. Start by navigating to your Kommo account, go to Leads > Automate > and click + Add source on the left-hand side.
A window will pop up where you can choose from several messaging channels. Find Website chat button and click + Add source. This will open a new window where you will be able to set up your button.

How can you install an online chat button on your website?
Installing an online chat button to your site has never been easier!
We've added new installation methods for popular website platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and even Google Tag Manager templates, making it more accessible.
When you go to the Installation tab in the online chat settings, you'll find many methods available.
- Paste in the code of your website
- Quick-install using Google Tag Manager
- Install Kommo template in Google Tag Manager
- Add to your Shopify store
- Add to your WordPress website
Paste in the code of your website
The first option is to simply paste the provided code you’ll find in Kommo into your site's HTML. Just copy the code snippet from the tab and insert it into your website. If you prefer, you can also click Send to developer to email the code to your developer and let them handle the setup process.
Install your chat button using using Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a handy tool that lets you add several tags, such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel, to your website without having to deal with any code.
There are two ways in which you can install chat button user Google Tag Manager:
- Quick-install using Google Tag Manager
- Install using Kommo template
Quick-install using Google Tag Manager
Setting up your online chat button with Google Tag Manager is super straightforward. Here's how to do it:

First, click Sign in with Google.
- Sign in to your Google Tag Manager account.

Click Continue to share the account permissions.

Finally, click Publish.
Install your chat button with Kommo template
Now, if you want to Install the Kommo template in Google Tag Manager, follow these steps:

Log into your Google Tag Manager account and select the container where you want to add the tag template.

In the left menu, select the Tags tab, click New and give your tag a name.

In the Tag Configuration section, click anywhere inside the white box. Go to the Community Template Gallery, search for Kommo Website chat button and select it from the list of options.

Click Add to workspace and give permission to add a community template by clicking Add.

Enter the Button installation key for your online chat button.

Select a trigger by clicking on the Triggering section. To improve your site’s customer experience, we recommend choosing the All Pages trigger for faster page loading times.

Save the new tag by clicking Save. You can also check out how the chat button will look on your site by clicking Preview. If you’re happy with it, click Submit to send all the settings to the container.

Add a Version Name and Version Description, then click Publish.
Installing a chat button in your Shopify store
With our Shopify integration you can seamlessly install live chat on the page of your Shopify store. But, not only that. You can pull all the customer’s relevant information from Shopify into Kommo, making it easy for you to answer your customers’ questions. You’ll know which order the customer is talking about, and the products that were in the cart for that order.
To install the button in your Shopify store:

In the Website chat button >Installation > Click Add to your Shopify store.

If your Shopify account is already connected to Kommo, skip to step 3. If not, click Install > Install the Shopify integration > Click Shopify manager > Click Connect > Sync your Shopify account and click Import.

In the Add to your Shopify store tab, click Go to Shopify settings > Set up in Shopify.

In Shopify, turn on the Kommo CRM Plugin toggle switch.

Installing the chat button in your WordPress site
With WordPress you can easily create and manage blogs, websites, or e-commerce sites. WordPress is perfect for those who need to manage complex sites. In Kommo, you can connect a chat button to your WordPress site and easily turn your visitors into leads, by following these steps:

In the Website chat button > Installation > Click Add to your WordPress website > Install in WordPress.

Log in to your WordPress account > Plugins and search for the website chat button.
- Install and activate the plugin.

Click Kommo on the left-side panel.
- Log in to your Kommo account. Choose one of your existing chat buttons or create a new one. If you have no existing buttons, a new one will be created and added to your website automatically.
Note: Currently, the Wordpress installation method supports connecting Live chat but does not allow connecting other messengers.
After choosing your installation method and following all the necessary steps, your chat button will be installed.
