Mercado Pago integration and its benefits
The Mercado Pago integration is a tool that allows businesses to seamlessly integrate Mercado Pago's digital payment platform with Kommo. Its benefits include:

How to install the Mercado Pago integration
To install the Mercado Pago integration:

Access Settings > Integrations in Kommo. Search for Mercado Pago and click Install.

Complete the installation by accepting the privacy policy and clicking +Install.

Copy the link from Step 1 (see image below). Then click Mercado Pago set-up.

Once you log into your Mercado Pago account, you will be taken to the Developers panel. There, you have to create an application in order to use the integration. Click Crear aplicación.

Fill out the following form. In the Qué producto estás integrando? field choose either CheckoutAPI or CheckoutPro, depending on what you usually use within Mercado Pago. Click on Crear aplicación.
Note: Mercado Pago offers two different ways for users to complete checkouts: Checkout API and Checkout Pro:
- Checkout Pro: This is a ready-made solution with a standardized frontend, meaning the user interface and experience are fully designed and set up for you. It's easy to implement since everything is already built.
- Checkout API: This option offers more customization. You can design and build your own checkout process, tailoring the user interface and experience to fit your specific needs.

Wait for a redirect to the application page. Then click Editar datos.
- Scroll down, paste the redirect link you copied from the Kommo integration into the widget, and save the changes.

After saving the changes, you will be automatically redirected to the application page. Here, click on credenciales de producción to access the application data page.

We get to the application data page.Copy Client ID and Client Secret (which is a unique password for connecting to Kommo).

Go back to Kommo and click Next in the integration setup. In the window, paste the Client ID and Client Secret you copied before. Make sure the email address corresponds to the account where the application was created. Otherwise, an error may occur. Click Next.
- You will be redirected to the Mercado Pago website. First, provide the necessary permissions.
- Next, you need to confirm the connection of the application by entering your email address. The email confirmation code is the last 6 digits of your account ID, which you can find in the popup.
For example, if your Argentine account ID is 1412913923, the confirmation code would be 913923. After you will receive a notification that you have successfully connected the application.
Note: Make sure you have chosen the correct country in your Mercado Pago account. Otherwise, you might encounter errors.
You will be automatically redirected back to Kommo, where you will see that the integration has been successfully installed.
Adding items
To add Mercado Pago items:

In Kommo, create a lead with a contact and save it. If you haven't done it before, check out our How to get started guide. You may also open an already existing lead. Click Setup in the Lead card tabs.

Then click the + button. A list will appear. Select Mercado Pago Items and add items.
An items list has just been created in Kommo. You can view and edit the list by going to Lists > Mercado Pago Items.
How to create an invoice
Mercado Pago invoice is a formal document from a seller to a buyer detailing the goods or services provided, their quantities, and prices. It specifies the amount owed, documents the sale for accounting and tax purposes, includes payment terms and conditions, and serves as a legal record of the transaction for dispute resolution.
There are several ways to create an invoice via Mercado Pago:
Creating an invoice manually
To add an invoice manually, test out the integration, and see how it works, follow these steps:
- In Kommo, create a lead with a contact and save it. You may also open an already existing lead.
- You’ll see Mercado Pago has been added to the tabs at the top. Click on it.

Click Create Invoice. Next, specify items, fill out the invoice with all the necessary data.
Once you save the invoice, it will be created and appear in the list in the Mercado Pago tab.
Creating an invoice through the Digital Pipeline
Note: Before you create an invoice through the Digital Pipeline, make sure you have created a lead with a contact in Kommo and there is a Mercado Pago items tab in the lead card with items added to it.

Go to the Leads > Automate. In the Discussions stage, click on Add Trigger to open a list of available triggers that can be added to this stage.

Enter Mercado Pago in the Search and filter. You will see the Mercado Pago trigger pop up. Click the + Add button.

Click + Add → The Mercado Pago trigger is added to the Discussions stage, the trigger settings window will open.

Uncheck the Change Status option, then click Done → The trigger configuration window is minimized. Next, click Save in the upper right corner to save the pipeline settings.

Change the status of the lead you are working with from Initial Contact to Discussions. This can be done simply by dragging the lead card to the discussions stage in the pipeline.
It can also be done by changing the lead's status in the lead card.
Creating an invoice via Salesbot
Note: Before you create an invoice through the Salesbot, make sure you have created a lead with a contact in Kommo and there is a Mercado Pago items tab in the lead card with items added to it.
To add an invoice via a Salesbot, follow these steps:
- Create a new Salesbot. To learn how to do that, check out our How to create a Salesbot article.
- Create a widget step in the Salesbot. A list of widgets that can be added to Salesbot will open. Add a Mercado Pago widget.
- Add success and error steps to the bot. For example, in case the invoice is successfully created, the bot will send a note to the Lead card with the text “I created an invoice :)”. If the invoice was not created, the bot will send a note to the Lead card with the text “I didn't create an invoice :(”.

After setting up, click Save & Continue in the right upper corner of the window. The bot will be saved. A triggers window will pop-up, allowing you to customize the trigger for the bot. In the When this happens field, add When lead moved to a pipeline stage. Add Decision making in the For all leads with field.

Click Done.

Change the status of the lead you are working with from Initial Contact to Discussions, then click Save. This can be done simply by dragging the lead card to the discussions stage in the pipeline.
Running the Salesbot in the chat with a lead
Before creating an invoice through a lead chat, ensure the following:
- A lead with a contact is created in Kommo.
- A Salesbot is configured the same way as described in the previous step.
- Items were added to the Mercado Pago items tab in the lead card.
To create an invoice via a Salesbot in the chat with a lead, follow these steps:
- Open a chat with a previously created Lead with a Contact. Clicking on the lightning icon. Select the Salesbot with the Mercado Pago widget, then click Run.
- Once the bot runs, it will send the invoice to the lead.
