How to become a Kommo Partner

Partners handle transactions with clients, buy subscriptions at a discount through the portal, and keep the difference as their earnings. They also offer technical support, training, and account setup, and they can set their own prices for these services to make more money.

How to get certified

Now that you know all the benefits and how the program works, let’s break down how you can become a Certified Kommo Partner. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Become a partner webpage in Kommo. Or go to Kommo’s website and at the top menu, select Resources → Become a partner.

  1. Click on the Become a partner button. This will direct you to create your partner account.

  1. Enter your email address, full name, phone number and press Create an account.

  1. Now that you’re inside the Portal, check the left-side menu and you’ll find different sections, such as the Certification test, Partner terms and FAQs. Below, you’ll also find your Partner name, ID and the language set for the Portal, which you can change by clicking it.

Note: that the portal is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Bahasa Indonesia.

  1. To get started, watch the three short intro videos about Kommo and the partner program. These videos are found in the Getting Started section. Make sure to also read the Partner terms and FAQs. These documents have important details you need to know about being a partner. Take your time reviewing this information so you understand the program.

  1. After watching the videos, you’ll need to pass a certification test to demonstrate your understanding. You must answer at least 50 out of 61 questions correctly to pass the test and become an official partner. When you’re feeling ready, click Take the test.

Note: In case you fail, you can retake the test as many times as you need.

  1. To answer questions, simply select the option that you believe is correct. To register your answer, click Next question and you’ll move forward in the test. But in case you want to return to a question, click Back. You can track your progress on the top bar.

  1. Once you finish answering all 61 questions, we’ll calculate your results. If you’re successful - you’re now a Certified Kommo Partner! Click on Next to move forward.

  1. After passing the test, you will be able to download a certificate from Kommo. This certificate can help you promote your partnership and attract new clients. The certificate will display your name. If it does not show your name correctly, you can edit it in the provided text field. Once your name is correct, click the Download button to save a copy of the certificate with your updated name.

  1. Once certified, schedule a demo with a Kommo Partner Manager, navigating to Resources > Schedule a demo. During the demo, you’ll need to confirm your identity using a corporate email or a social media page that verifies your business. If you cannot verify your identity, you will not be able to receive the 100% bonus until you reach $1000 in sales.

And there you go! Now you can access partner benefits, including the free 2-month subscription and promotional materials.

How to navigate the Partner Portal

Congratulations for getting certified! The next step is to get familiar with the Partner Portal, your hub for managing your Kommo partner activities.

Once you pass the certification test, you unlock new sections in your left-side menu: the Dashboard, Accounts, Payments, and Academy. Another important part of the Portal is the Road to your first sale progress bar, that will guide you through your journey. To see all steps within this road, click on See full checklist. You also have a quick shortcut to chat with the partners team in case of questions.

Dashboard

Now, let’s explore what each section can do for you. Starting with the Dashboard. Here you can have an overview of your business:

  • Your partner information.
  • Sales stats.
  • Clients are currently active or expiring.
  • Your remaining subscription.
  • Leads you received from Kommo (as part of the Warm Leads Program).
  • If you’re listed in our partner directory.

The portal also provides support options. You can contact the support team via live chat or WhatsApp for any questions or issues related to the partner program. Click on Chat with support team link under Remaining subscription.

Accounts

The Accounts and Payments sections, is where the magic happens. You must create trial accounts for clients to ensure clients are marked as yours and not contacted by the Kommo sales team.

Once you get your first client, you’ll need to create a trial account for them. The process is very simple. You’ll need to:

  1. Go to your Accounts section and press the Create a trial account button.

  1. Fill in your client’s email address and name,create a password for them (don’t worry - they can change it afterwards) and select their account language. If both you and your client wish so, you can add yourself as a tech user for free (called ’account admin’) to help them set up their account by ticking the selection box. When you’re done, click Create a trial account.

  1. From this moment on, their account is created. Inform your client to check the email inbox you provided for their login credentials. They can click the Log in to your account button in the email they receive from Kommo to access their account.

Now that your client has access to their Kommo account, they can enjoy a 14-day free trial and explore all the features and integrations.

You can view your client’s account information and status in the Accounts section, including the expiration date of their trial period and their subscription plans after they make a purchase.

Payments

Once your client is ready to purchase a Kommo subscription, you’ll need to create an order in the Payments section. Here, you can place orders for your clients ensuring you earn your commission.

Note: Payments must be made through the Kommo Partner Portal to ensure you receive your commission. If a client buys a subscription on their own, you will not receive your commission.

Partners should charge clients the standard prices listed on the Kommo pricing page and should never offer different pricing. Partners also cannot use the partner discount for their own accounts or businesses.

To create an order, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Payments and click on the Create an order button.

  1. Fill out your client’s order and payment details:
  • Client’s account ID (found by clicking on their profile photo within Kommo)
  • Chosen subscription plan (Base, Advanced, or Enterprise)
  • Subscription period (6 months to 2 years)
  • Number of user seats to add
  • Currency (USD or BRL)
  • Payment method (Credit/debit card or PayPal)
  1. Similarly to when you create a trial account, tick the selection box if you wish to add yourself as a tech user for free (account admin) to your client’s account. When you’re done, press the Create an order button.

  1. Review all the information is correct and click Check out.

After you finish paying for the order, your client’s subscription will be activated!

How to get listed in the Partner’s Directory

Getting listed in our Partner’s Directory is one of the best ways to improve your visibility. This is the place where potential Kommo clients go to find partners to help them. They can filter by region, country and language to find the best partner to suit their needs.

Once they click on your logo and name, they’ll be directed to your personal page where you can add a description of your business, the regions and languages in which you provide your services and a full list of every service you provide. Perfect for clients to know everything they need about you!

Ok - but how do you get listed? First, you must make sure you meet these requirements:

  1. Mention Kommo: Highlight your Kommo skills and services on your website by adding a section or page about Kommo.
  2. Add your Partner badge: Put your badge on your website to add credibility as a Kommo expert. Download it from our Partner badge page. Ensure clients can click on your badge and be redirected to www.kommo.com.
  3. Prepare your logo: Your brand’s logo represents you, so make sure it is well-designed and uploaded in high quality. Photos are not considered logos and won’t be accepted.

Once you tick every requirement of your list, you’ll need to:

  1. Go to Partner Portal and navigate to Resources > Get listed on our website.
  2. Click on Get listed.
  3. Fill out the form by:
  • adding your company’s name,
  • selecting the services you offer,
  • adding a description (you can add descriptions in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Indonesian)
  • selecting the languages you support and the regions you serve
  • adding your office’s address and contact information
  • upload your logo
  1. Submit the form.

Now, our Partnerships team will review your submission and let you know if it got approved.

How to join the Warm Leads Program

The Warm Leads Program is a key part of the Partner Portal. After you complete your second sale, you can start getting warm leads from Kommo. Warm leads are potential clients who are already interested in what Kommo offers.

You can receive 2 leads per day, up to 30 per month. If you do well, you can ask for more leads from the Partner’s team. Here’s how it works:

  1. To start getting leads, turn on the Leads for Expert Partners widget in your account. Go to Leads > Automate > Add source and install the widget there.

  1. Requests will show up in the Incoming Leads stage. You need to accept them using the browser version of Kommo.

Warm Leads guidelines

When working with warm leads, follow these rules:

  1. Accept the lead manually using the browser version of your Kommo account. Don’t use Salesbot to do this automatically.
  2. Wait 15 minutes after a lead appears in the pipeline before accepting it. If you try too early, you’ll get an error message.
  3. Each lead can be accepted by up to 5 partners. After 5 partners accept it, the lead disappears and can’t be accepted anymore.
  4. After accepting a warm lead, contact the client within 2 business days.
  5. Actively work with the lead in the Kommo pipeline. Use emails, notes, tasks, and calls to communicate with the client and move the lead through different stages.

If you don’t follow these rules, there will be penalties. The first time, you’ll get a 3-day suspension. The second time, a 1-week suspension. The third time, a 2-week suspension. The fourth time, a 1-month suspension. The fifth time, you’ll be removed from the Warm Leads program.

Note: By default, you can accept up to 2 leads per day and 30 per month. If you show good results and actively work with warm leads, you can increase your limits. We review the number of sales you’ve closed and adjust your limits based on your performance and current demand. After making 5 portal payments or starting to provide services, contact the partners team to request more leads.

In the Partner Portal, go to Resources > Join our community. Here, you can join our WhatsApp and Facebook groups.
