Facebook has so much to offer in terms of grabbing and nurturing leads that Kommo actually has 4 (and a half) different Facebook integrations! Maybe you already noticed this when you clicked on the connect Facebook button, and nothing happened. Oh, it worked… just somewhere else. To conquer the confusion, I’ve created this guide to break down each integration and explain what it’s useful for and how to set it up.
Facebook Messenger
This is one of my all-time favorite integrations. Basically, any time a new person starts to chat with you on Facebook, they are added to the incoming leads section of your sales pipeline. From there, you can decide whether to:
- Leave them in limbo and keep chatting in their temporary contact card
- Approve them, which will turn them into a real lead in the pipeline
- Decline them, which will send them to the trashcan
- Link them to an existing lead or customer
In addition to lead grabbing, this integration is great because it allows you to chat on Facebook Messenger without leaving Kommo. That means you can stay engaged with individuals where they are most comfortable. But it’s also comfortable for you—you’re chatting with their Kommo profile open right in front of you, and all your chat messages are visible right there… not lost in another application.
Set up is easy peasy, lemon squeezy
Here are the steps to integrate FB Messenger.
-
Go to the Leads tab, and click the gear icon to take you to Digital Pipeline
-
Make sure that Incoming Leads is enabled
-
Scroll down to the Chats section, and click the connect button
-
A window will open. In the Facebook block, click the switch to activate Facebook chat, and you will be directed to log into Facebook.
- If you click the Facebook block a second time, it will expand to reveal the Facebook pages linked to your account.
Feedback button
Kommo recently created an elegant button you can put on your website, which allows web visitors to contact you on the medium most comfortable for them. Currently, the feedback button allows you to connect accounts from:
- Facebook Messenger
- Telegram
- Viber
- Kommo webform
Once a visitor contacts you, they’re sent to the incoming leads section of the pipeline. As we discussed earlier, you can keep chatting with them in their newly created Kommo profile. Don’t forget that you can approve, decline, link them to a lead, or do nothing.
It must be complicated, right?
Actually, no. As long as you have access to paste a bit of code into your website’s html, you’re all set. Just follow these easy steps.
- Make sure Facebook Messenger is integrated (see above)
-
Go to the Leads tab, and click the gear icon to take you to Digital Pipeline
-
Make sure that Incoming Leads is enabled
-
Scroll down to the Feedback button section, and click setup
-
A new window will appear. Click on the dropdown box beside the Facebook logo, and select your Facebook page.
- Choose the design for your feedback button, and then paste the URL of the page where you want the button to be located
-
Click save, copy the resulting code and paste it into the html of your webpage
Lead Ads
This is a brand new integration that’s awesome for grabbing leads from Facebook. If you’re not already using Facebook Lead Ads, take a look because it’s an excellent lead gen source. Basically, you create an ad on Facebook and then choose which info you want to get from interested viewers. They click on your ad and their info is already filled out from their Facebook data—all they have to do is click submit.
This integration automatically grabs submitted Facebook lead ad forms, transforming them into Kommo leads. As always, new submissions are sent to the incoming leads section of the pipeline.
How can I get my claws on it?
First things first, you gotta have a Facebook page for your business and you gotta make some ads. After that, it’s easy to set up the integration.
-
Go to the Leads tab, and click the gear icon to take you to Digital Pipeline
-
Make sure that Incoming Leads is enabled
-
Scroll down to the Facebook Lead Ads section, and click the connect button. You will be prompted to log in.
-
Now the connect button has been replaced by the + button. Press it, and a window will appear where you can select the page and form you want to use. Click Next.
-
Now select the fields in Kommo that should correspond to the fields in the Facebook form. Press Save.
Facebook search
This is one of our oldest (and perhaps dustiest, I’m not gonna lie) integrations. Yet it still has its uses. Imagine you’re dealing with a contact and want to know more. This integration lets you search for their Facebook profile from Kommo. One click, and it takes you right to their page. After that, whether you friend request or just snoop is up to you.
Get hooked up
-
Go to the settings tab and navigate to integrations
-
In the recommended add-ons category, click on the Facebook block
-
Click the login button, and you will be prompted to sign in to Facebook
-
Now head over to the contact profile you’re interested in
-
On the right hand side, click on the Facebook logo. In the widget, you can search for the Facebook profile of your contact.
Facebook ads
This is a tried and true integration that should be an vital part of every Digital Pipeline. You just choose which pipeline stage and which Facebook ad, and then once a lead gets to that stage, they will automatically see your ad on FB. This integration warms leads by showing them ads that fit where they are in the pipeline.
It’s beautiful for a lot of reasons, but my favorite reason—because it ends. When leads are progressed past the stage, they stop seeing ads from that campaign (unless you choose to continue the same campaign into further stages). This is great because it avoids ad faux pas like showing awareness ads to the leads who already know you and haunting leads who are at the end of your pipeline. Instead, you can make sure that leads at each stage only see the ads that are appropriate for them.
Let’s get ready to rumble
-
Go to the Leads or Customers tab, and click the gear icon to take you to Digital Pipeline
-
Click the + button to add a new action for the desired pipeline stage
-
A window will appear. In the Facebook block, click connect.
- Now click add to campaign, and select the ad campaign and its settings.
Go Forth and Integrate!
Hopefully I’ve cleared up any confusion about this multifaceted integration. Each of the parts is useful in its own way, so try them out and see if you like them. If you still have questions, feel free to ask in the comments below. Happy Facebooking.
